SSL Room Reservations

Welcome to South Street Landing’s Room Reservations information page. South Street Landing offers a variety meeting spaces including:

·         Multipurpose Rooms

·         Large Conference Rooms

·         Standard Conference Rooms

·         Small Meeting Rooms

·         Huddle Rooms

·         Privacy Rooms which may not be booked and are intended for just-in-time use 

Unless otherwise noted, rooms can be reserved in Google Calendar. The quickest way to find South Street Landing rooms is to type SSL into the Rooms search box when creating your event; for more detailed instructions on reserving rooms in Google Calendar, see the article Book a Resource (Conference Room).

Please check out MyPrint Printer Locations to find the nearest printer to each room location. Under South Street Landing, you will see a link, Download Map (PDF), which will take you to a map of each floor with printer locations.

 Zoom Rooms

• Multipurpose Rooms as well as Room #638 have integrated mics, speakers, screen, PC, and iPad to work with Zoom, and can also be used with laptops
• Large Conference Rooms all have webcams mounted to the wall flat panel display, which can be used for Zoom with just a laptop the user brings in (loaner laptops are available from ssl-itsc@brown.edu)
• All other rooms with screens can be used with Zoom if the user brings a laptop with a webcam, and/or borrows a portable conferencing webcam from ssl-itsc@brown.edu.  Huddle Rooms and Privacy Rooms do not have screens

Multipurpose Rooms

Note: These rooms are scheduled through space-reservations.brown.edu instead of Google Calendar.

Conference space for large meetings, group work, collaborations. 

Capacity: please refer to the table below for details

Unless noted below, these rooms are equipped with the following technology:

• Speakers & Mics
  • 6 ceiling mics.
  • Wireless mics & wall plate for video/audio out.
  • 3 goosenecks, 3 stands.
• Telephone is integrated into Crestron for dialing. Tied into speaker. Phone line patch via speaker
• Zoom Room with integrated mics, speakers, screen, PC, and iPad to work with Zoom, and can also be used with laptops
• Crestron AV control touch panels (3)
• Laser projectors
• Conference Phone (model 8831)
• 2 PTZ cameras: one in front and one in the back in the center room
• Floor outlets

Large Conference Rooms

Conference space for large meetings, group work, collaborations.

Configuration: seminar style with table in middle and chairs surrounding.

Unless noted below, these rooms are equipped with the following technology:

• White boards
• 65 inch flat-panel TV
• All have webcams mounted to the wall flat panel display, which can be used for Zoom with just a laptop the user brings in (loaner laptops are available from ssl-itsc@brown.edu)
• Wall-mounted Crestron touch panel to control display settings
• Cable cubby in table
• Input plate at table to plug in laptop or other source (HDMI and VGA connections);
  there is no installed wireless projection
• Sound system installed in the ceiling
• Camera with built-in mic, 4 port USB extension
• Room webcam (plug USB into your laptop at table to display room camera in Zoom web conferencing)

Standard Conference Rooms 

Conference space for large meetings, group work, collaborations.

Configuration: seminar style with table in middle and chairs surrounding.

Unless noted below, these rooms are equipped with the following technology:

Small Meeting Rooms

Huddle Rooms

Smaller work/conference space for meetings, group work, collaborations. 

Unless otherwise noted, these rooms are equipped with the following technology:

●     RoomWizard

●     Wall mounted speaker phone

●     White board

Other Available Rooms

The spaces may not be booked and are intended for just-in-time use. 

Privacy room (~40 spaces)

Small room for one person to make private phone calls or conduct heads down work. 

Capacity: 1 person.

Configuration:  desk and 1 chair with power and data. 

Technology: There will be no installed AV, or phone
