What is Google Cloud Platform?

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a cloud computing service offered by Google that includes services for computing, data storage, data analytics, and machine learning.

Additional documentation and info:

How do I access it?

The best way to access GCP is through this link: https://console.cloud.google.com/

Requesting Access

Where can I submit a request?

Access may be requested through the application request form; choose Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in the Applications section.

Who can access GCP?

Brown Staff, Faculty, and Affiliates may request access for themselves for Brown business purposes. You will be asked to provide a business purpose or an explanation of your task.

Students may request access to GCP if needed to complete a class project, but this will require the class professor to confirm the need for this access. Faculty may request access to GCP for their entire class and provide their class Google Group.

Support

Other than resolving access issues, OIT does not provide support for GCP. Users of this service will need to seek their own solutions either by searching the web or getting info from the GCP community at Cloud Forums or Google Cloud Communities.
