Brown University Purchases: Faculty and Staff

If you are administrative staff working in an academic department, consult with your Information Technology Support Consultant (ITSC) or Departmental Computing Coordinator (DCC) about the solution that is best for you.

• Computers
  • Apple: After consulting with your Information Technology Support Consultant (ITSC) or Departmental Computing Coordinator (DCC), computers can be ordered from the Brown Bookstore Technology Center or OIT Hardware Services Team.
  • Dell:  Dell is Brown's preferred PC vendor for strategic pricing and full support on campus. Your Information Technology Support Consultant (ITSC) or Departmental Computing Coordinator (DCC) can create an eQuote with Dell, which can then be purchased by OIT Hardware Services Team.  Here is Brown's recommended Windows System models.
• Printers
  • Consult with your Information Technology Support Consultant (ITSC) or Departmental Computing Coordinator (DCC) about printer solution that is best for you. They will work with OIT Hardware Services to request a recommended HP printer models and also request a price quote. OIT Hardware Services will purchase the printer from our approved vendors such as:  B&H, PC Connection and CDW. Here is Brown's Recommended Printers.
