Insert Web Links in Canvas Text Editor

You can easily add web links to Discussions, Pages, Events, and Announcements in Canvas using the Rich Content Editor.

Text Instructions

There are two ways to insert a web link when you create any page or post in Canvas:

Option 1: Copy and paste

  1. Copy and paste the web link into the Rich Content Editor.
  2. Press Enter. The pasted text will turn blue, signifying that it has become a link to the web page.
  3. Click Save.

Option 2: Select the link icon 

  1. Click the Link to URL icon in the toolbar above the Rich Content Editor.
  2. Type or copy and paste the web link in the window that appears.
  3. Click Insert Link.
  4. Click Save.

Turn text or images into a link

  1. Highlight a word, phrase, or image.
  2. Click the Link to URL icon in the toolbar above the Rich Content Editor.
  3. Type or copy and paste the web link in the window that appears.
  4. Click Insert Link.
  5. Click Save.
